Since the inception of the ministry, we have always known that a home for girls AFTER they had their babies would be part of God's plan for us. (We are only taking girls that have come through our Fatherheart Program because of the foundation already laid.)

Through the years, we've usually been able to find a "safe place" for our girls after their babies were born. At least for all the girls who truly wanted to move on with their lives in a positive direction and wanted God to be their "lead Man."

In the summer of 2000, we began working on a master plan for the 40 acres of property where Fatherheart is located. In the plan, we roughly sketched out an area for After Care with an area for girls who have placed for adoption and another area for girls who are single parenting. We assumed that we would begin Aftercare when the building was built. See Development.

Some might question our AfterCare Program. Is not helping teens walk through an unplanned pregnancy enough?

The answer is no! In some cases it's just the start of caring for young mothers. Our girls all come from different situations and backgrounds. But all the situations are not advantageous to their educational, emotional and spiritual growth. We want to protect their privacy, so we can't share their personal details.

But the negatives are not near as important as the positives of each one living in a safe place. Each one has a heart for the Lord and a genuine desire to be part of the answer for our culture and not part of the problem.

The timing is right because the Lord has birthed the AfterCare even without the perfect building.
